Line of Fire!

Posted by Chrispington - June 5th, 2010

New game in production!

Line of Fire (working title only) will be an oldscool style side scrolling shooter, themed after notebook doodles.
You'll blast through the levels destroying things such as vehicles, soldiers, emplacements, aircraft of all kinds, buildings and navy vessels.

This won't be a bite size game, I got somewhat carried away. :P
I had to work out my rage over my last game that was just for money and left a sour taste in my mouth. Time for an awesome game!

There are currently more than 100 enemies and destroyable items, plus level one is over 150000 pixels long, bwahaha! It's all FBF and runs at 35fps.
There are plenty of powerups and special attacks including TOW missile strikes and carpet bombing runs.

I'll be looking for some appropriate music and beta testers pretty soon, PM me.

Cool. Can't wait till you finish.

Sounds like a movie about cocaine. "Line of Fire", and your game is sick so far.

sound fun, cant wait to play it! ^^

That's not new, you've been working on it FOREVER!
Hope you're having a fun weekend ;)

Yeah it got crazily out of hand, spent a lot of time renovating michelles house too.

But I really HAVE been working on it forever; the concept for this game was the first thing I ever coded, around 5 years ago! I was doing the first baby steps of making an object move and change appearance when you press a direction key.
Of course that code is gone now but the graphics for the players plane are the ones I made way back when :P

Don't blame my house...pffft.

Then gimme my hundreds of hours back!

Hey, I'm sure you've probably heard this to death by now, but are you scrapping Project Validus in favor of this? I'm not begging for it to be finished or anything (although I would love that), I'd just like an official word if that's dead or not.

Hell no!
Validus is inevitable.
